PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

This Pharmacy Tech position is located in our Pharmacy Department. 

Hours:

This is an on-call Per Diem non-benefited position.

Starting Salary: 

$26.82 - $37.98/hr** Rate of pay quoted is for less than one year up to 30 years of experience. Pay is determined by years of experience. PLUS shift differentials where applicable.

**An additional 15% has been added to the base wage, in lieu of benefits.

What you'll do:

• Under the direction and supervision of a pharmacist, provide assistance in filling and computer entry of orders, billing and posting of pharmacy charges.
• Perform clerical duties, maintain inventory, and process out-patient prescriptions.
• Have the primary responsibility for billing/posting charges and maintaining inventory systems.

What you'll need:

• Obtain and maintain a State of Alaska Pharmacy Technician license.
• Have completed a Pharmacy Technician Course or have 2 years experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Have experience with wholesale ordering and inventory control.
• Be able to operate such general office machines as a personal computer, adding machine, fax machine, and photocopier.
