Education Administrative Assistant provides support to the Education Department
s, performing general technical, clerical, administrative and record keeping duties; provides administrator duties for a variety of electronic/digital platforms used for tracking, compliance, education, and communication.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
The position of Education Administrative Assistant is a confidential position and is instrumental in daily operations and the development and communication of accurate information from the Education Department. This position is an hourly position under the laws of the FLSA. The Education Assistant reports to the Education Coordinator who functions as a first-line supervisor. The Director of Nursing functions as the department manager.
High school diploma or GED required plus two (2) or more years of previous similar administrative experience; must possess a broad knowledge base of multiple computer applications with a strong background in graphics and electronic media a must; be literate in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Power Point, Publisher, Word); must be able to type a minimum of 65-words per minute. Medical Terminology preferred or required within 6 months of hire. This individual should be able to operate such general office machines as keyboard
,laptop, projector, fax and photocopier. The work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing, data entry and proofing; discretion and decision making is required. Multi-tasking skills with ability to work in changing fast paced environment and meet deadlines is required. In addition, this individual must possess a current driver’s license.
