Rad Tech 2 Starting Salary:

$39.91 – $45.41/hr and up (rate of pay range quoted is for 2-11 years of experience, with the ARRT RT certification and MRI certification. Rate is higher with CT certification and/or more years of experience, PLUS, when applicable; shift differentials for evenings, nights and weekends)

This position is a benefited Days position, .9 FTE (36 hours/week). Relocation bonus available for this position!

Rad Tech 2 Professional Summary:

Functions as a member of the Diagnostic Imaging team to provide clinical radiographs as directed by physicians or radiologists in accordance with established standards and practices.

Rad Tech 2 Responsibilities:

Prepare patient and adjust equipment as necessary for the performance of x-ray examination.  Identifies/instructs patient regarding procedures. Performs Quality Assurance tasks as directed by Medical Imaging Director. QC films and prepares studies for interpretation by the Radiologist. Prepares and maintains departmental records and reports and files patient jackets as necessary.

Rad Tech 2 Required Licensing/Certification:

  1. Must have successfully completed an AMA approved Radiologic Technologist training course.
  2. Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Must maintain registration with the ARRT on an annual basis.
  3. Candidate must possess MRI certification, with 2 years of recent experience.
  4. Prefer a candidate that has 2+ years of CT experience.  
  5. Must keep current with CEU credits as required by the ARRT

Rad Tech 2 Knowledge and Experience:

  1. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  2. Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
  3. Demonstrated ability to lift up to 35 pounds without self injury, as well as ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time, including stooping and sitting.
