EXPEDITOR (PCN 947)

The Expediter, Casual Position will assist in all warehousing, purchasing, and expediting functions of the Material Management Department. Operates various office machines and uses hospital vehicles for picking up and delivering freight. The expediter assists all departments of the hospital with various functions and maintains professionalism with all customers to ensure quality of service, confidentiality, and security.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
The position of Expediter requires a minimum of a high school diploma and 1-3 years work experience in a hospital or Health Care environment. Medical terminology and familiarity with medical supplies and equipment is essential. Clerical ability is required to process documents timely and accurately. This individual should be able to operate such general office machines as a fax, computer keyboard, adding machine, mail machine and photocopier. The individual in this position must have a valid Drivers License, a good driving record, and the ability to drive a 5-speed, standard-shift 4-wheel drive pick-up. This position must deal courteously and tactfully with patients, staff and the public in general. The individual must follow established hospital policies and procedures, work with attention to detail, maintain accurate records and be willing and able to contribute to a pleasant, positive working environment.
