Work Hours: MONDAY -FRIDAY 2pm - 10:30pm



The primary responsibility of the Screener is to perform COVID-19 or similar Influenza like illnesses (ILI) screenings based on the latest CDC guidelines or other applicable standards.



The Greeter is an important health and safety role responsible for screening individuals who seek access to South Peninsula Hospital (SPH). The Greeter will be able to soundly exercise discretion and judgement in health screening circumstances and diplomatically manage conflicts that could arise from health screening results. A SPH Greeter will measure, monitor and administer health screening processes and protocols. This role may consult with South Peninsula Hospital, Public Safety, other Emergency Services and Risk Management subject-matter experts on health screening recommendations that promote the efficacy and efficiency of the screening processes. Greet everyone that arrives at the facility.

The South Peninsula Hospital is a combined 22 bed Acute Care Critical Access Hospital and 28 bed Long Term Care facility located at the southern end of the Kenai Peninsula in South-Central Alaska.  The ability to reason, speak and have basic manual dexterity is essential.  Physical demands are moderate and may include sitting, standing for prolonged periods, walking, stooping and occasional lifting.  Psychological demands can be very strenuous.
