POSITION HIGHLIGHTS/RESPONSIBILITIES: (This list is not all-encompassing)

  • The Lead Scheduler is to oversee the scheduling team while performing all the duties of a scheduler.
  • This requires coordinating and facilitating the scheduling of both new and returning patients, training and coordinating with the scheduling team, and navigating the daily workflow for the team overall.
  • This position is part of a team-based approach to providing patient-centered care by maximizing productivity through obtaining all necessary information to ensure timely patient scheduling and billing.
  • This position maintains the provider's schedules to make the most efficient and effective use of their time.
  • The Scheduler is often the first person a patient interacts with. Therefore, they must be able to maintain positive patient relations and represent the practice in a professional, friendly and patient-focused manner.
  • The Lead Scheduler reports to the Clinic Manager/Director.
 

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Requires the minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent. 
  • Associate degree or higher preferred.
  • Two to three years' experience in computerized patient accounts and/or administrative assistant is required.
  • This individual will possess excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with exceptional organizational skills. 
  • Excellent keyboard skills (accuracy and speed) and knowledge of various computer applications, including but not limited to,  Microsoft Word and Excel are required.
  • This position must present a professional appearance, deal courteously and respectfully with clients, be able to learn and follow established policies, be able to perform work with attention to detail, be able to maintain accurate records, be able to maintain strict confidentiality, and be able to contribute to a pleasant, positive working environment.
