This Neurodiagnostic Technologist position is located in our Neurology Department.
Hours:
This is a full-time 40 hour per week benefited position, 7:30am - 6:00pm Monday-Thursday.
Starting Salary:
$28.65 - $40.58/hr; Rate is for less than one year up to 30 years of experience. Rate is based on years of experience.
What you'll do:
- The Neurodiagnostic Technologist (MA 2, EEG, TMS, EP, EMG) conducts diagnostic testing and or treatment for patients in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient areas.
- Work with providers, clinic manager and staff to assure all pertinent information is available for collection, analysis, interpretation of testing and treatment as appropriate.
- Perform Medical Assistant 2 duties as appropriate in the Specialty Services Clinics.
- Work with children, adolescents, adults, elderly, and their families and appropriate members of the health care team, and is in frequent contact with providers and staff.
- Externally this position is in frequent contact with community agencies and groups participating in patient care.
What you'll need:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Minimum two years of EEG experience required.
- In lieu of experience, a certification must be acquired and maintained.
- Possess the ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulation.
- Have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Be able to effectively present and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
- Be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure and have the ability to calculate figures and amounts, apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists, interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, and exercise sound technical judgment and appropriate assessment skills.
