Collaborate with the dynamic South Peninsula Hospital Rehab team and provide high quality occupational therapy services for a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient clients in an efficient, professional manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Occupational Therapist assumes professional responsibility for providing evaluation and treatment of clients requiring services as defined by the state of Alaska’s Occupational Therapy Practice Act.
  • To maintain clinical expertise while practicing in a small department in a rural community.
  • Participate in continued growth of Occupational Therapy program development.


KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A postgraduate degree in occupational therapy from a university accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Alaska license in occupational therapy.
  • Current BLS certification. 
  • A minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience in occupational therapy preferred.
  • Physical demands are moderate and may require heavy lifting, periods of prolonged standing, and the ability to assist patients as needed.

South Peninsula Hospital is a 22 bed critical access hospital (CAH) with a 28 bed Long Term Care Facility located on the southern end of the Kenai Peninsula.
