The Patient Financial Services (PFS) Manager develops departmental policy; is responsible for the billing, collection, financial counseling, cashiering, and registration staff. Manages and coordinates resources and activities of teams to ensure departmental goals are met; performs trend analysis and produces reports; identifies and resolves problems for the purpose of achieving the departmental goal of maximum revenue and cash flow.

The position of PFS Manager requires the incumbent possess the minimum of an Associatess Degree, which may be substituted with 5-10 years billing, collections, and customer service experience. A Bachelorss Degree or equivalent in Business Administration and/or Accounting is preferred. This position requires a minimum of two to three years of experience working in a hospital patient account department with a broad base of experience in all positions associated with hospital patient account positions.

This individual must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. This individual must deal courteously and tactfully with coworkers and be able to contribute to a pleasant, positive working environment.
