PHYSICAL THERAPIST (PCN 280)

The Staff Physical Therapist provides evaluation and treatment for hospital inpatients, outpatients, Home Health, and residents of the hospital Long Term Care unit, according to the professional standards of the American Physical Therapy Association.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
The Staff Physical Therapist position requires a degree from an accredited university recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association. At least two years of experience is preferred. Current Alaska Physical Therapy license and C.P.R. certification are mandatory. Experience in Acute Care as well as outpatient Orthopedics required, and Pelvic Health treatment skills preferred.
The South Peninsula Hospital is currently a 22 bed acute care facility with an attached 28 bed LTC Facility. Physical demands are moderate and may require heavy lifting, periods of prolonged standing, and ability to assist patients as needed. Working hours are 07:00 to 17:30(or 10-hour day) and rotational weekends for treatment of specific patients. Duties are performed in a clean, safe, barrier free department.
