SPH are currently seeking a multi-talented Physical Therapist with skills and comfort in treating primarily pediatric outpatients 0-18 years of age as well assisting in the Acute Care and Long Term Care setting, general inpatient/outpatient and adult/pediatric rehabilitation. A minimum of 3 years of experience is preferred but we are open to new graduates. Come join the dynamic rehabilitation team where evidence based, optimum patient care is a top priority.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Requires a degree from an accredited university recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association
  • One or two years of experience is preferred but will consider new graduates
  • Preferred 3 years of experience with the pediatric population
  • Current Alaska Physical Therapy license 
  • Must maintain a current BLS certification
  • Applicant should be experienced and comfortable with a wide variety of Pediatric diagnoses, in addition to AC inpatient therapy, rehab, orthopedic outpatient and neuro settings. Additional experience in other settings a bonus. 


ENVIRONMENT:
South Peninsula Hospital is combined of 22 bed acute care and 26 bed long-term care facility located at the southern end of the Kenai Peninsula in South-Central Alaska. The working environment is generally pleasant, clean and well maintained. This position requires walking, standing, stooping, periods of prolonged sitting, lifting occasional loads of 50 pounds without injury to self or others. Persons in this position may be exposed to falls, slips, infectious diseases, and muscle strains. Generally the physical demands are moderate, and the work is performed inside.
