RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive the creative direction and execution of branding and design projects across digital and print platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director and other departments to support strategic initiatives through design.
  • Maintain and evolve visual brand consistency in all communications and materials.
  • Develop designs that improve user experience for patients, staff, and community members.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines with efficiency and attention to detail.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–7 years of professional design experience, preferably in healthcare or similar sectors.
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar tools.
  • Deep knowledge of typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
  • Experience with both print and digital formats, including responsive and accessible web design.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and ability to translate ideas into compelling visuals.
  • Understanding of brand systems and the confidence to maintain or evolve them.
  • Excellent time management and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Physical Requirement: Moderate physical activity including sitting, standing, walking, occasional lifting, and the ability to attend events and meetings on- and off-site.
  • License Requirement: Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for occasional travel.


ENVIRONMENT:
The South Peninsula Hospital is a combined 22-bed Acute Care Critical Access Hospital and 28-bed Long Term Care facility located at the southern end of the Kenai Peninsula in South-Central Alaska. The working environment is generally pleasant, clean and well-maintained.  The position requires a moderate amount of mobility.  The ability to reason, speak and have basic manual dexterity is essential.  Physical demands are moderate and may include sitting or standing for prolonged periods, walking, stooping and occasional lifting.  Psychological demands can be very strenuous.  Most work is performed inside, and the work is generally positive.
